A prank.

She had to say, it was a rather mousebrained prank. Fire ants in someone's nest, honey in their fur, hitting them with a moss ball, the list of things that would be less detrimental was near limitless and yet here they were screaming about foxes in the middle of camp. Grunting in displeasure from where she resided in front of the warrior's den Tigertalon rose to her paws, her drab olive eyes narrowing in distaste as she curled back her lip in disgust at the stench of fox and picked her way forward with purpose. Sure Pumpkinpatch was already apt for the whole punishment thing but when apprentices nearly old enough to become warriors came charging into camp shrieking about foxes there was a problem. Lowering her broad shoulders in a slouch the heavy set tabby whipped her attention around to Whitepaw and Coyotepaw both.

"Have you ever heard of the kit who cried badger?" Her tone was even and focused, not unlike her expression, "It's a lovely story about a kit who always ran into camp screaming 'badger! badger!' as a prank. I believe how it ends is they're out in the sandy hollow screaming badger and no one comes because they're so used to the pranks and they're crushed in the badger's jaws until their corpse is nothing but broken shambles by the end of it all." The tip of her long, bushy tail twitched in amusement at this, "Do try to only call fox when there's actually a fox. It'd be a shame to lose you so close to becoming a warrior."

Sheesh, a little severe eh? Not that her mother had been lilies and meadows either so perhaps to that degree it made sense and to be fair she was totally fucking with them. It'd been a half moon since Tigertalon had showed up at the border explaining she was Adderstar's daughter and that though her mother would never return to clan life it was her hope Tiger could. Sure it was a little weird and in one's face but she supposed stranger things happened all the time because joining had been relatively seamless and already she'd settled into the routine rather smoothly.

Turning her narrow gaze on Pumpkinpatch the huntress flicked a large ear, "Say, Pumpkinpatch, perhaps Foreststar should hear of this. After all they're acting more like kits than warriors, maybe they should train a little bit longer." It was mainly to jab at the two troublemakers but her statement held some degree of truth, she couldn't quite see either cats performing their duty properly if this was what they did in their spare time.
